Wolfram Flight Information Reference App App Reviews

App sucks! DO NOT BUY

It doesnt even work one bit! Buggy and unresponsive! One of the worst apps Ive ever downloaded!

Room for improvement

Europe doesnt seem to be included in this app - would have been nice to know before I paid for it... To be fair, it appears to deliver data for US cities - so as long as you stay bound to the continental US youll probably be happy with it. I happen to fly further... :-(

I want my money back

Ive never written a bad review, but this one is just too annoying. No matter what I do, the "flights seen in the air" option which was the reason I bought the app, returns nothing but "(data not available)". I have tried many things and many different locations and always get the same result. Then, when I go to the "app support" link from the iTunes store, all I get is a page of them trying to sell me more stuff. Your current app isnt working for me, Why would I want to buy more?? And, the only thing I can find is support for "corporate clients only". I understand that paying $0.99 for an app doesnt mean full- blown tech support, but at least your app should work or I should be able to find more than a blog post designed to sell your non-working app or forums with nothing in them that that even includes information about this pretty generic error message. A waste of money and an even bigger waste of time. No more buying things based on press releases and blog entries. Im sticking to things That only have a series of good reviews.

Upset

I also am upset that the app does not work. Perhaps it is because I am in Canada and the app only has data for the us if this is the case it ought to have been stated

Dont Bother

Does not work with Japanese Airports

No data

99% of searches ends up with "no results" I found the information on google, using Siri right away. Dont waste your money on this app.

Out of date data, errors, etc.

Just purchased the app, great format, but the newest data is over 2 years old! Also it wont show flights that have been daily nonstop for multiple years.

Useless, and a horrible interface

The user interface for entering flight information is really awful. I was unable to find a way to get it to recognize the flight I was trying to look up, even though I know the flight is valid, because I can look it up on other tools. The other information this app provides is not particularly useful, so this app is very disappointing.

Not functioning

There must be a bug. I cannot get it to return any correct information on any of 4 domestic American Airlines flights I am following, including one currently en route. The menus are also buggy. I cannot readily find a contact for app support. After 45 minutes of trying, I give up. I can use the main WolframAlpha app successfully, but not this app. Hopefully there will be a quick fix.

Wont open

App will not open. Crashes instantly.

Not working

Cannot find airports properly.. I want my money back.

Doesnt work for intl flights, app crash

Disappointed with what wd otherwise hv been a great product. Unable to lookup flights/airports using IATA codes in India. App crashes after few interactions. iOS 5.01 on Iphone4

Dissapointing!

crashes, clunky clunky interface, will not find cities such as Sao Paulo, slow. only The alpha computes , this should just deliver. fix it please. Paid way too much money for both Wolf apps. Get your act together. I will wait for fix before deleting. sooon!!!!

Does not work

I am a big fan of Mathematica, a Wolfram product. This app, however, is TERRIBLE. I bought it on their reputation which is now VERY TAINTED!!!! DO NOT BUY.

Horrible

Not worth the $$. Basic information. I expected much more. No maps. Flight aware sets the bar one again. You should be ashamed wolfram!

Horrid

Doesnt recognize AMS, Amsterdam, KL, KLM, PVG, Shanghai, FRA, Frankfurt and the list goes on. Truly a disaster and a waste of money. Do not buy!!!

I expected more from Wolfram Alpha

But bluntly I wouldnt even consider this app in beta status and not ready for prime time, especially for a PAID ap. While IN the airport, with an excellent connection, awaiting my delayed flight, the app couldnt even find that flight (even though I was on it two hours later). Nor could it list out any of the flights from any of the gates located around me. App doesnt use standard ICAO codes for the airports, meaning instead of just typing STL for St. Louis Lambert Field, you have to type in the city, then select the airport if the city has more than one airport (Chicago, New York, Dallas, etc) THEN you can enter the info you hope to look for. For a flight ap not having those codes is pretty much the death knell for it, especially if you are a road warrior and know the airport codes by heart. It does seem promising but until then, Flight Track is the one to get.

$2 Ill never get back

What a rip! Airport codes dont work. Little useful info. Spend your money on something else until this is fixed; if its fixed.

I expected more from this company

The concept is great in theory but they havent made it work in practice. I think they hand-drew the screen shots because I cant get any information to display on flights I know are in the air. Doesnt recognize most airport or airline codes. Worthless.

A One Star Rating is Overly Generous.

I agree with the very low ratings. "Flight Seen in the Air" quit returning data several weeks ago; however, the WolframAlpha app returns the data so it is there to be found. I have sent in a report to the developers but so far see no response.
